Tyler worked as a graduate research assistant under his adviser Dr. Emerson Nafiziger and the Variety Testing Services for University of Illinois studying both crop sciences and crop production management. Following his education, he worked on his family’s large Corn and Soybean farm in McLean County, Illinois

Current Position:

Tyler Thompson is Manager of the San Luis Valley Research Center. The primary responsibilities of his position include oversight over the financial, equipment, infrastructure and personnel resources for this agricultural experiment station.
